Chances are, if you were to ask fifty different people for their definition of what ‘branding’ is, you’d wind up with fifty very different answers.  Some might say that it’s a company’s voice, or how it sells itself.  Others will tell you that a brand is like a personality, encompassing everything from how a corporation is viewed in the news, down to its business card layout.

From my perspective as a designer, my branding concerns are mostly visual.  The most important aspect of any brand is how a first impression is made.  Is many cases, it’s heavily reliant on the user interface of the website, and how easily a person can learn about products and services.  Partnered with a solid corporate image, a great logo, and a strong marketing message, we can see that the idea of a brand begins to snowball, and if done well, is a mirror to the people that work hard to make a company great.
